Nearly halfway through the Autumn term – What are we up to?

So, we are nearly halfway through our Autumn term already! Here at SSD we have always got something going on, this term is in fact very busy indeed.

We offer our pupils the opportunity to take recognised examinations in their chosen genre, perform in competition events, dance for charity functions and shows as well as attending class each week with their friends for the love and fun of dance itself.

Our ISTD Modern Theatre pupils will be taking their Exams next week after working hard during classes and extra lessons we have pupils of many varying levels entering. The ISTD are a highly recognised and respected awarding body within the dancing world and our teachers Sam and Louise love teaching the syllabus to our pupils.

During November we will see our RAD Ballet pupils from Grade 1 up to Grade 7 take their Examinations, gaining knowledge and experiences to take to the next grade as well as UCAS points towards future academic ventures!

In the latter end of the Autumn term we will be holding examinations with The British Arts for our Tap of many levels and Preparatory Ballet Students.

We will also be entering dances into a nationwide competition with the same awarding body, The Arts Awartds, in the hope that we could progress to the live audience Semi-Finals which will be hosted by us at The Lights Theatre in March 2019!

Lots of exciting things ahead for our pupils and staff here at SSD!
